For about 1 year now, I've been working on an amazing game. Everytime someone would ask me on IM, "What ya spriting BBD?" I'd say something like, "Can't tell you." Now, I can tell you.

Megaman: New Horizon is that amazing game. We, AUD Studios, are making it. Altogether, there's almost 20 members I think. Each of us have something that another team member counts on. Silver Limit does Art, Oakie does sprites, I do Backgrounds, and Lysekoid does the programming. (some of us even do multiple jobs. :P)

I'm very confident in this game though. I've put lots of effort, and time into this game simply because I know the Megaman community is going to love it. I know that everyone else put effort into it too for the same reason.

The story, right now anyways, takes place about after Megaman Zero 2 on a moon called New Horizon. The people of earth moved there to escape the Neo arcadia problem. That's the jest of the idea, I won't say too much more to spoil it.

Oh, and the REAL attraction to this game, is its engine... This game will play on your VBA emulators.

Okay, I'm guessing it's on vba is a SUPER DUPER utlra good thing, am I right? Cause', either I don't know what a vba means, or I fogot what it means...
Can someone explain what it means to me?

VisualBoy Advance. It's the premiere GBA emulator.

Don't ask for roms, they're illegal unless you own the cart.

As for the game, I'll reserve judgement until I can play it. Let the community decide if it's an amazing game or not. I'm hoping it is.

I know about the illegal ROM ordeal thingie. Just didn't know what a VBA meant. Thanks, Namnesor.

We (the mods and Admins) allready had a discussion about this a while ago. Its quite simple: Comercial Roms are illegal. Since GBA Developer Kits are aviable for free, just like the Emulators, its perfectly fine by me.

And as others said before, the graphics looks fine, but to make myself an opinion I'll have to play it.

Aww, I was hoping your big secret project would be a game about Kuroberto, not another Megaman fan-fiction. :P

I'm interested in reading up on the characters and bosses and such. I'd be more interested in the game, but... well, I've played Megaman Zero... :P

well, this looks to be fun. hope you can actually FINISH this. a lot of games I've heard about were started and ended. *points at All hell: 30xx, rockman neo, and the MM21XX: ARmegedon (now MM 21XX, thanks to subzero)

Hi everyone,

No worries, this game is not a joke or anything like that.

BBD said that the game is amazing, and I must add that he was probably a little over excited when he wrote that. It is not up to us to decide whether the game is good or not. It'll be up to each player to decide for him/herself. We are however making this game to the best of our ability.

The game runs in VisualBoy Advance, which means that it also runs well in a GameBoy Advance.

We've been developing this for quite some time now. The Game Engine itself took a loong time to develop, and so did many other things. We have only worked on this on our spare time, so the progress has been quite slow. We've had 3 demo releases so far, none of them was large and good enough to show to the public, which is why we've kept this project a secret for so long.

I think we need just a few more days to finish our 4th demo... so please be patient a little longer...

Hmm... I clicked at that Download thing and it says that there like should be a demo already to download. How come it is put in that way even though you cannot download the demo from there?

The girl is Alouette, yes. She'll only follow X to the end of the Elysium stage part1, which is what our upcoming demo will contain. I won't say more since I don't want to spoil it.

The webpage will only have the most current demo to download. Our old demos are not available. Besides, they do not have much to play since they’re mainly concentrated around the cinema.

The reason why we’ve kept this project a secret for so long is because the progress has been slow since the Game Engine required a lot of work. Now that the Game Engine is well developed, adding new stages will only depend on the speed of making new backgrounds and new sprites. If we’ve show this demo a year ago, people would only loose interest due to waiting for the Game Engine to be finished. We were not ready to show anyone this project earlier. Now we are, and we will update the webpage on a regular basis (once a week to begin with) so that you won’t loose interest.

Thanks guys, I'm honoured that you say so. It means a lot!

By the way, how often do you think a website like this should be updated with new stuff in order for you guys to stay interested. Our goal is to keep regular updates, since it takes time developing this game and we do not want people to loose interest.

Oh, and since we've worked on this project since 2003/2004, you understand that we have no intention to stop. However, if Capcom would order us to stop at some point, then we'd stop but start developing our own game instead.

…and yes, Capcom knows about this project... We contacted them to be on the safe side. I even got a short reply from them at the beginning of March, but haven’t heard anything from them since then. As long as they don't shut us down then I'm happy...

In my humble opinion, I'd say at least give us weekly updates. That is an appropriate amount of time for us to keep coming back for more. :)

I personally think DAILY would be best, but I'm almost positive you can't make updates that fast.

And CAPCOM responded? sheesh, they respond to a development team when my own friends don't respond to their E-mail accounts.

What kind of programming language you use to make that game or do you have some sort of ready program to do games for GBA? "Which I higly doubth, but if you have then please let me know."

Bastard: You are correct. When we started developing the Lypson Game Engine (for GBA) at the beginning of 2004, there already existed some "C"-based libraries for GBA development. But we wanted to make on in C++, due to the many features C++ has compared to C. Once our upcoming demo is released, I'll share a link to our Game Engine, which you can download if you want (with source code) for your own amusement.

Weekly updates is probably what we'll aim at.

I'm too used to whore around game maker so I suppose that wouldn't do much good for me. XD
I thought to learn C++ for some day though. But it just requires too much patience though.

The webpage has been slightly updated. As I promised, I'll update it at least once a week. We have a few more steps to do on the demo, so I'm guessing a few more days (7-10) and we're all set.
